SMALL, OPTIMIZED DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEM IN LESS THAN THREE MONTHS

Moldow Polska Sp. z o.o. has supplied a new, modern dust extraction solution to Meblart who needed a reliable, efficient solution for their new production hall.

Operating from Radomsko, one of Poland’s strongest furniture-production regions, Meblart is a supplier of furniture materials and components for the woodworking industry. The company provides furniture boards cut to size, drilled and edge-banded, along with fittings and accessories for professional furniture manufacturers and carpenters.

Short Lead Time, Proven Solutions

As part of its continued expansion, Meblart established a new production hall and required a reliable and efficient dust extraction system for its production processes.

– We were contacted by Meblart, who needed our expertise within dust extraction. In a few weeks, we found the right solution, and in less than three months from first meeting, the system was ready for operation, explains Sales Engineer at Moldow Polska, Łukasz Tomankiewicz.

Complete Wood Dust Extraction System

The wood dust extraction system is designed for an airflow capacity of 11,300 m³/h and includes:

• Moldow SB EX T baghouse filter
• Moldow RS-9 EXL rotary valve
• BarkerBille DAT-400-22/D extraction fan
• Ductwork and pneumatic dampers from the production machines to the filtration system
• Overall control system for easy overview and control
• Return air system back to the production hall.

The solution ensures efficient dust extraction directly from the woodworking machinery, helping maintain a clean, safe and energy-efficient production environment.

Explosion-Safe Design for Wood Dust Applications

Because wood dust is classified as combustible dust, the extraction system was designed according to the ATEX directive to ensure safe operation.

The SB Ex filter features an Ex-certified casing (Ex II 2/- D) equipped with explosion relief doors designed to safely vent explosion pressure in the event that an external ignition source triggers an explosion inside the system.

In addition, the filter outlet is fitted with an RS-EXL rotary valve, Ex-type approved as a safety component for explosion isolation.

Together, these safety features ensure reliable operation while providing a high level of protection for both personnel and production equipment.
