MOLDOW CONTRACTED TO DESIGN AND INSTALL A PREMIUM AUTOMOTIVE PLASTICS PAINT SHOP IN INDIA
Moldow has been awarded the contract for a premium robotized plastics paint shop – the first significant Moldow painting line supplied to the Indian market.
The customer is a top Tier-1 direct supplier to almost all automotive OEMs in India, and the new paint shop will cater directly to Suzuki and Toyota.
Large, Two-storey Automotive Plastic Paint Shop
Being designed for front grills and moulded exterior parts, the plastic paint shop will have a total footprint of 2,000 m2 in two levels. It will be built with a large platform as the second level, where thermal oven, active cooling zone and service and maintenance access to the ventilation system are located.
The paint line will accommodate pre-treatment and preparation zones, flaming, static neutralization, three large spray booths with relevant flash-off zones, convection oven and active cooling zone.
Additionally, Moldow is supplying all support zones and systems such as paint kitchens, change/access rooms, clean room environment and ventilation system with accurately controlled temperatures and humidity to optimize the paint process and final paint quality.
The line will be built and commissioned during 2022.
