We’ve been updating this previously installed Moldow painting line at one of VELUX’s factories in Denmark. The update was sparked by the introduction of a new product and VELUX’s decision to future proof their paint line.

The new solution allows for a more precise paint application and at the same time is more energy efficient – things which the previous painting solution with reciprocators could not fulfill.

The redesign includes flash-off, drying oven and cooling zones and a new spray booth with robotic paint application which is ventilated with air distributed through filters in the ceiling and suction in the floor.

Further, the ventilation system has been expanded with a heat exchanger for heat recovery to reduce the energy consumption, and humidification units have been included to optimize the quality of the painting process.
