Our new MPJ baghouse filter is designed for handling explosive atmospheres (Ex 1/- D) and therefore requires ATEX certification, which we have been working on intensively over the past few months.
To ensure maximum safety and full compliance with relevant regulations, the MPJ filter has been engineered with explosion venting based on the three standards that together define the concept of dust explosion venting:
- EN 14491 – Dust explosion venting protective systems
- EN 14797 – Explosion venting devices
- EN 14460 – Explosion resistant equipment
As part of the ATEX certification process, Steen Christensen from the Danish Notified Body Dancert visited our factory in Denmark yesterday to witness a pressure test carried out to validate our strength calculations according to EN 14460.
The pressure test was successfully completed, confirming the accuracy of our calculations. We are now moving forward with finalizing the documentation required for the certification.
