Thanks to the know-how and experience gained after manufacturing and developing our products since 1921, Moldow is one of the market leaders in designing and manufacturing:
- Dust extraction and collection systems for the woodworking, corrugated cardboard, paper and fiber industries.
- Painting lines for industrial coating of metal, plastic and wood items including ventilation systems.
- Industrial ventilation including welding extraction for the Danish market.
Quality is key – all the systems are designed to be as reliable and energy efficient as possible. This is often not the cheapest solution, but it is the best.
Our head office and production facilities are located in Holsted, Denmark from where our products are exported worldwide through our own offices and distributors worldwide.

HISTORY
Moldow A/S is the result of a fusion of the two companies Moldow Systems and Jørgen Hansens Maskinfabrik, who worked within the same industry. Moldow Systems A/S specialized in export, whereas Jørgen Hansen Maskinfabrik A/S expanded their market share in Denmark and started its own production of industrial fans.
Moldow Systems A/S was founded in 1921 in Copenhagen. Over the years, the company grew to have two areas of specialization using air technology in filter systems and spray painting lines.
Jørgen Hansen Maskinfabrik A/S was established in 1960 with the purpose of manufacturing ventilation units, but over the years filter systems and painting plants were added to the product range as well. The company also began its own production of industrial fans.
JHM-Moldow A/S was founded in 2003 after Jørgen Hansen Maskinfabrik A/S took over Moldow Systems A/S, and the two companies were merged.
On January 1st 2010, the company name was changed to Moldow A/S.
Up until October 2016, Moldow also sold industrial fans, but the sale of those Moldow-manufactured fans was moved to Moldow’s sister company BarkerBille A/S. They sell the same fans in the same high quality as before, so please visit their website if you are looking for an industrial fan.

Yes. While Moldow primarily supplies painting lines to customers across Europe, we also deliver specialized systems worldwide, particularly for the automotive industry.
Moldow has unique expertise in painting lines for automotive plastic components, such as bumpers and trim parts. These projects require highly precise air handling, temperature control, and contamination management – areas in which Moldow has decades of proven experience. Because few suppliers globally can match this level of technical capability, Moldow’s automotive plastic painting lines are exported to clients worldwide, supported by our engineering and service teams to ensure reliable performance and long-term operation.
Moldow’s powder coating lines are primarily supplied to European production companies. If you are located outside of Europe and are interested in a Moldow powder coating line, please contact our sales team to discuss your project — we will assess feasibility and provide guidance on how we can best support your needs.
Moldow is an international supplier but primarily serves European markets, where the company has a strong local presence but throughout the world you can see Moldow’s installation. Key markets include:
- Denmark, Poland and Lithuania where we have local presence.
- The United Kingdom, Czech Replublic, Finland, Sweden and Chile where we have long-term, trusted partners and distributors
- Most other European countries where we can find a partner or handle the project ourselves from one of our other locations.
Beyond Europe, Moldow also supports selected international projects — particularly where advanced air handling, filtration, or painting line expertise is required. We have previosly supplied sucessfull projects and installations to companies in Asia, North America, and the Middle East such as USA, Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey.
Moldow A/S is a 100% Danish company owned by JHM Holsted Holding A/S, which is owned by Hoffmann Capital A/S and Holsted Invest A/S.
Holsted Invest A/S is the former 100% owners of Jørgen Hansen Maskinfabrik A/S. It is owned by K. Preben Hansen and Anna Birgitte Ipsen, who are children of the founders and in charge of the day-to-day management of Moldow A/S.
Hoffmann Capital A/S came in as part-owner in 2005 and is owned by B. Hoffmann Holding ApS, P. Hoffmann Holding ApS and H.M. Hoffmann Holding ApS – owned by daughters of industrialist Johan Hoffmann, who built up one of Europe’s largest companies within dog and cat food, A/S Arovit Petfood.
No and yes. In 2016 the sale of our industrial fans was moved to our sister company BarkerBille A/S. However, we do sell them as integrated parts of our dust extraction systems, painting lines and ventilation systems. In addition, the fans produced in Europe are still produced by Moldow so we have a very close collaboration with BarkerBille.
The partnership and collaboration between Moldow and BarkerBille is closeand benifitial. The highly efficient fans used in our systems are a large part of the highly efficient profile that Moldow systems have. This is partly thanks to the expertise in fan design that the technicians and engineers at BarkerBille posseses.
Yes. Moldow primarily serves the European market, with headquarters and production in Denmark and a dedicated Sales Office in Poland.
However, Moldow also delivers and supports specialized dust extraction systems worldwide — either directly to key industrial customers or through trained local partners and distributors.
