NEW TECHNICAL MANAGER TAKES OVER
Arvid Vestergaard Hansen has been appointed our new Technical Manager as of January 1st 2024 after a smooth generational succession.
– We are pleased to present Arvid Vestergaard Hansen as our new Technical Manager. We have been working on a successful generational succession in this key position for a long time, and we are really happy with the solution. Arvid has taken over the position from Lars Holm, who continues as Technical Advisor with a close collaboration with Arvid and the rest of the organization, our Managing Director, K. Preben Hansen, says.
Being a familiar face at our company after working for us in the past, Arvid has extensive knowledge of the company’s business areas and products.
– The fact that Arvid already has in-depth knowledge of our solutions and at the same time has great technical knowledge and understanding made him an obvious choice, and we are very happy that this opportunity presented itself. Arvid and Lars have worked together for many years, which has made the transition even easier, K. Preben Hansen says.
– I completed my apprenticeship to become a blacksmith at Moldow and then worked as a fitter before studying to become a mechanical technician. After finishing the studies, I returned to Moldow as a Project Manager, and after a few years I went back to study Mechanical Engineering, as my interest in the technical field grew. I wrote my Master’s thesis in collaboration with Moldow and Lars Holm, and then I worked some years at Siemens Wind Power, where the collaboration with Lars and Moldow continued. After that, I worked as an engineer at Omme Lift for six years, where my tasks included development, calculations and final approvals. In September 2023, I then returned to Moldow as Lead Engineer, Arvid Vestergaard Hansen says.
Smooth Generational Succession to New Technical Manager
– A smooth generational succession and a successful handover was very important to us, so in September a close collaboration between Arvid and Lars began with handover and introduction to the most recently developed technical solutions, so that Arvid could take over the position at the turn of the year, K. Preben Hansen explains.
– After 27 years as Technical Manager, Lars Holm wished to step down and ensure a smooth transition to a new Technical Manager. We are eternally grateful to him for the good, close collaboration, his great work effort and his loyalty. Fortunately for us, Lars continues as Technical Advisor and backup. We are extremely pleased about that, as it gives Arvid and the rest of the organization the opportunity to continue to get advice and input from Lars, who possesses a great deal of knowledge after 35 years with us, K. Preben Hansen explains.
Arvid is also happy about the continued collaboration with Lars:
– I have worked closely with Lars for many years and learned an incredible amount from him. Over the past few months, we have reviewed customers, projects and technical solutions together, and I look forward to contributing my knowledge and ensuring a continued solid technical foundation for Moldow and our sister company BarkerBille, Arvid says.
